Tea Story: This tea comes from Mai Tea Co. in Illam, where tea bushes are partially shaded prior to harvest to encourage natural amino acid formation in the leaves. During oxidation, the leaves undergo an anaerobic (oxygen-free) environment where oxygen is replaced with nitrogen, allowing natural glutamic acid to convert into GABA—a compound often associated with relaxation and calm focus.
