White Tea Infused Smoothie — Honeyed Pink Serenity. An experimental drink.
Ingredients
- 1 cup of brewed Nepal Hills Floral White Tea (cooled)
- 1 ripe banana
- 1/2 cup mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon honey
- Ice cubes
How to Brew the White Tea Base
Brew Floral White Tea at 75–80°C (167–176°F) for 2–3 minutes — white tea is the most temperature-sensitive tea, so don't use boiling water. Strain and allow to cool to room temperature (or refrigerate for 30 minutes). Cold tea base is essential before blending.
Instructions
- Steep the Floral White Tea as above. Allow to cool completely.
- In a blender, add the cooled tea, ripe banana, mixed berries, Greek yogurt, and honey.
- Blend until smooth. If too thick, add more cooled tea or a splash of milk to adjust consistency.
- Add ice cubes and blend again until chilled.
- Pour into a glass, garnish with a few berries, and serve immediately.
Why This Works
Nepal Hills' Floral White Tea has spring blossom, soft rose, and peach fuzz notes — grown by Farmers Tea Co in Ilam at 5,000–7,000 ft. These delicate florals and natural sweetness complement the fruitiness of the berries and the creaminess of the Greek yogurt beautifully. The result is a smoothie that's refreshing, antioxidant-rich, and distinctive.
Tip: The second steep of Floral White Tea works even better as a smoothie base — lighter flavour that doesn't overpower the berries.
