Experience the Uniqueness of Nepal Hills Tea

Hello, I’m Bhaskar Dahal, the driving force behind Nepal Hills Tea. Today, I’d like to introduce you to our unique tea offerings.

Introducing Nepal Hills Tea’s Single-Origin Teas

At Nepal Hills Tea, we are dedicated to importing and supplying the highest grade of black and green and white loose leaf teas. Our products are sustainably produced, ethically sourced directly from the farmers and artisans producing these teas.

Our tea comes from the rolling hills of the Illam District in the Eastern Hills of Nepal, where the conditions for cultivating tea are perfect. At altitudes of 3,500-7,500 feet above sea level, the tea bushes grow slowly, developing their full complexity of taste. The air quality is exceptional, and the southerly slopes ensure long hours of sunshine, creating the ideal environment for tea cultivation.

Highlighting the Distinct Flavors, Aromas, and Characteristics

We offer a small batch-manufactured, exquisite collection of artisan teas from Nepal. Our collection includes loose leaf black tea, loose leaf green tea, and loose leaf white tea, all in one place, curated to delight your senses.

The rolling hills of Nepal are home to some of the world’s most flavorful teas. Nepal tea gardens, unlike Darjeeling’s, are only 40 to 50 years old which means the tea gardens are yet to be replanted. This ensures a delicate and refreshing flavor in every cup you brew with Nepali tea.

Cultivated on the hills of eastern Nepal, at an altitude of 5500 feet above sea level, our tea plants undergo deliberate and gradual growth due to the limited availability of sunlight and nutrients. As a result, the budding process slows down because the plant allocates more resources towards the leaves’ growth. This desirable process lets the leaves develop complex flavors and aroma.

What makes us unique?

While there are tons of tea companies with roots based in Nepal claiming that they are going to rescue farmers from poverty, all these traders are doing is collecting teas from small artisans, branding them aggressively and selling them for up to 15-20 times the original cost paid to the farmers. In figures, say if they buy tea for $20 a Kilo, the customers end up paying $300-$400 per Kg.

We are against price gouging. Not only we pay much fairer price to the artisans, we also fulfill our ethical duty to our customers and offer products at a much affordable price.
